If i wash my hands and grab my lovebird right after will it affect him?

See, I've heard that some fumes are poisonous to them and i was thinking maybe washing my hands(with soap) and getting my birdie out right after i wash my hands could hurt him. Does it? Or is it completely okay? And also if you can, please list what fumes are poisonous. I don't want to hurt him in any way,Thanks!
