What should i use to hold my model car parts while i airbrush them?

i see it in videos all the time where they have like a handle that is stuck to the inside roof of the car body and under the hood and such... what do they use to secure it down? i wouldnt think tape would hold well enough, my only other thought would be like sticky tack? thanks!
