Im 40 weeks pregnant, any suggestions to help things along please?

this is my first baby, im having a little boy, i was due on sunday. ive tried walking, fresh pineapple, very hot curries, stimulating my nipples, but nothing is working. i had a scare yesterday because i had serious back pain and couldnt go to the loo properly, i went to the hospital, n they said im getting back pain because the babys back is against mine. they also did an external examination and they dont think will be happening just yet. the midwifes coming on sunday to do a scrape, but im really uncomfatable and just want to meet my littl baby any help\/
