How do you guy over a death.?

My friend alec just died last night because he was drunk and he tried to jump off his roof and land in his pool but he ended up hitting the cement and cracked his head open and drounded into his pool, he just graduated from high school and he had a whole life ahead of him. And im texting my friend who was really close with him and hes taking this soo hard what do I say to make him feel better
