I bought a house owner finance and received an insurance claim to repair roof?

2 yrs ago I bought a house owner finance. My roof was damaged in a hail storm and I filed a claim. The claim included a shed that was destroyed and the replacement of 2 windows that were blown out. The check I received didn't cover replacement cost so they deducted 20% for depreciation. The problem.I found a roofing company to replace the roof using 25yrs shingles, leaving just enough to replace my shed, but the lien holder is insisting that I replace it using 30 yr shingles, taking the full amount of the check. Can he make me get the more expensive roof? I am not behind on payments, and I pay for the insurance. Please help.
